Surely that third rounder could have been spent on Harris. But what would I know.
When O'Bree rotates to the bench, we are going to get smashed in the extraction side of the game, week in, week out.
we offered said third rounder and laidley said a second rounder please, so we moved on.
god if thats the case...i would've more than gladly handed over the 2nd rounder.

Liam Pickering who is Daniel Harris's manager stated on SEN this morning that Collingwood offered a 3rd rounder for Harris and it was knocked back as they wanted a 2nd rounder. Rightly so by the Kangas too.
One more to be delisted if they are going to pick up Benny in the PSD.

In hindsight fair enough.
I wanted us to get Harris, but our 2nd round pick (29) was higher than his value dictated. I reckon Harris would be disappointed North didn't do the deal seeing he asked to leave.

Helped that Harris was in Contract for North because that would of Been our Bargaining Tool for Us,
Not Surprised we did not Offer both out 3rd Rounds pick after the Shaw trade for Harris

Look, if we get Cousins, and he actually manages to play at somewhere near the level he was playing at 2 years ago, total bonus. If not.......meh.
If we pin our hopes of salvation on a 30 year old drug addict who's been out of the game for 18 months, we've underselling the group we already have.
A fit and firing cousins would be nice, but not the messiah.

We're sure to use all our draft picks on kids.
I'd love to see us get Cousins in the psd, but if we don't, then I'll back the club's judgment on it. I reckon he'd be a handy pick up, but let's face it, our club's future lies with our young brigade, some of whom are likely stars in the making.

reading Lyons comments it sounds pretty convincing that the saints want him.

I reckon our board/Ed etc are foxing a bit re the Cuz thing. Don't know why this is the case, but maybe to take some attention/heat off? who knows. I'm quietly confident he's in the bag

who cares if stk want him, don't we have a PSD pick before them? if so, we'll get him (assuming we want him). if we don't want him, then there's a reason. either way i'm not fussed.
as stui said, if we're expecting him to big 'the difference', then we're way off. he may well have a brilliant year, but it's unlikely. if he can average 15 touches a game with the odd 30 touch game then we'll have done very very well.

Do we really want him? Noone knows? I have mixed feelings about it.
Can't someone just talk O'Keefe into saying Collingwood is the club he wants to be drafted to!?!

What are you talking about!!!
Judd set and controlled his entire agenda from the very beginning, the clubs were basically reduced to bit players

I don't think anyone's posted this, so I'll put it up here, seeing as it's pretty relevant to the Cousins discussion:
A SINGLE DRUG CHEAT CAN NOW COST YOUR TEAM THE GRAND FINAL
Demetriou revealed that if only one player tested positive to performance-enhancing drugs on match day then the commission also had absolute power to act. That could include reversing the decision of a grand final.
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/st ... 70,00.html
Aaaaand...
The revelation that the commission could invoke its absolute power should a player test positive on match day might temper the enthusiasm of clubs like St Kilda, Brisbane and Collingwood who have shown interest in drafting Cousins.
I guess it depends on whether Collingwood is totally convinced that Ben is completely over his addiction, because if he isn't - I don't want him risking the result of a grand final. This view supported that he's probably going to be targeted each week, including hair testing, and also that he's previously stated that he can't guarantee that he can control his addiction.
