I feel the Lions are the team to snare Cousins.

If this is the case it could confirm my theory that something was agreed to trade week that allowed us to get Corrie for a bargain.

It's interesting that the club believes it is not one player away from a premiership too.

Well The Means we are Still in Re-Build Mode.

Plus Cousins could turn out to be Pacman Jones in the NFL
Rubbish! Now I have spat my cornflakes all over the breakfast table. :P
I felt it was not going to happen but it is still painful to have your worst fears confirmed. We're a very average club at attracting gun players!

Another rebuilding phase. BS! Eddie Nowhere-to-be-seen has tied his presidency to Mick Malthouse. Well, they've both got next year to perform a miracle or thanks for your service guys but get the hell outta here. Eleven years is more than enough pain for no reward.

Here we had a chance at a proven gun midfielder (albeit with a risk), but we are taking the soft option. Geez, at this rate the Scum will finish above us on the ladder.

No, we'd rather spend our club's hard earned on ridiculous trips to Arizona and South Africa!

It's time the natives got restless at the inaction from the Lexus Centre. Not happy!

There has to be more to it than the BS spin of it's not in line with the youth policy. If it wasn't in line with said policy, then they should never have entertained the thought of drafting him because said policy would have been the case three months ago.

Something is missing to quote John Mayer

Disappointing, but I guess they made a calculated decision. Hope this one doesn't come back to bite us on the backside.

For Benny's sake, I hope he doesn't go to the Saints, their culture is the worst in the AFL.

No Ben... so at last we can now move on and look at the ND and bringing on our youngsters for 09.

Thank you BL for Corrie

Cousins does not have AFL approval as yet so he may not be going to any club.

I would certainly prefer Malthouse and McGuire's long-term view of things than your obsession with dubious short term quick fixes. I agree with you to a small degree on South Africa as unforeseen circumstances made it a negative, however the gains from Arizona were obvious in the years we went there.

So you want a new board?

I've been thinking thats its about time you put up or shut up. You want to get rid of Eddie and the Board... well name their replacements. Let's hear about your alternative board and their strengths and their plans to fix our club rather than this constant carping about the current board. I'm assuming here you've actually thought deeply enough to have an alternative President and Board to name. So lets hear all about them....

I am all ears to.... looks like people easily get caught up in the media hype and start to believe rumours that lead to the style of thinking that another big one got away.... so blame the board or better still MM

I really don't get that, by the way. The AFL's 12-month ban was a bit tenuous to begin with... how exactly did Cousins bring the game into disrepute by choosing to participate in unhealthy personal activities completely unrelated to football? It's a joke if he isn't allowed to play next year.

Well there you go. Was a bit excited about the prospect, but I'm happy to back the Pies' judgment on this. Bit disappointed, but yes, it's obvious it's all about a build. I may have thought we were possibly a player of his calibre away from grabbing a flag, but the powers that be don't agree

WOOOHOOOO!

Thank fu%k for that.

Now I can still go to the footy. I was prepared to cancel my membership if we picked that junkie.

C E L E B R A T I O N!

I look forward to seeing Shaz Wellingham fit again and firing in the midfield. We don't need ancient junkies who can't guarantee he can even play, let alone well and for how long? A year, two at best?

Congratulations to Bucks for having the sense - and balls - to say we shouldn't pick him on football grounds alone!

GO PIES!

The old "bringing the game into disrepute" is enough to keep him out.

that is a bullshit"club" decision by our club and another reason why we are here just to make up the numbers and will never win another flag!! we make decisions that are good for the "club" and not win at all costs...
