Pies work it forward, but the Blues work hard to quell our attacking move. Eventually, Pies work it forward to Broomhead whose fumble sees the ball spill. Blues work it forward to Palmer who goals from 15 metres. 3 points the diff.

From the bounce, the Blues work it forward to Anderson. Quaynor works the ball to Wills, but the Blues get a charity free kick. From the freebie, the Blues draw the margin to 2 points.

Quaynor shows great courage to back himself and clears to the wing. He's had a quiet game, but is very plucky. Wills continues to rack up disposals and his learning kick earns the Pies a throw-in on the wing.

As we near time on, the Pies have the ball on the wing at the 21 minute mark.

From the centre, the Pies are pushing forward again, Wills, racks up his 30th possession, Kennedy is pole-axed by Bosenavulagi in an absolutely crunching tackle and our Fantastic Fijian has a shot from 55 metres.

From a ball-up in our goal square, Reid feeds to Wills whose right foot snap goes out on the full.

An amazingly tight contest is on the line- the Pies clear the ball but only as far as Silvagni. Woodward marks 60 metres out- drills to Reid whose left foot snap falls short.

Blues go from defence to attack where Kerr runs onto a loose ball and puts the Blues in front in the shadows of the post.
