First Cousins, and now Fev, I wonder how many more will follow........
I'm sure I saw former bushman Nathan Carroll all shaved down in the paper the other day.
You're not suggesting
he'd be up to no good, are you?

will very surprised now if Cousins IS picked up by the Saints. All I'm going to say is it will come out in the wash eventually why we are 100 per cent spot on with our decision. It obviously runs deeper than what was announced. In my opinion ... from what I heard from impeccable source (cliche, I know, go easy on me).

That's your opinion. Time will only tell.

I find it really interesting that with a few notable exceptions, those who most hate the media also seem to be the ones who most want Cousins.
Can you just imagine the circus if we had taken him?

Well, it's always nice to have the soundness of one's hatred reinforced

I was one of those very eager to get Cousins, but it's pretty obvious that the club uncovered some things which put them off, as up until that time, they were obviously keen as well. I'll back the club's judgment.

After much deliberation, the St Kilda Football Club Board and executive met today and made the decision not to proceed with pursuing Ben Cousins.
The Club conducted a complex five month review on Ben Cousins and its own playing group, resulting in a list management blueprint with a long term and strategic approach.
Saints CEO, Archie Fraser said, "We owed it to ourselves to undertake a rigorous and thorough review and have now made our decision. This is a decision that we didn't take lightly and we still believe that for the right Club, Ben could well be a great opportunity."
The Club would like to thank Ben and his management for the professional manner in which they have conducted discussions during this period.
The Club's internal review remains the property of the Club and is therefore confidential.
There will be no further comment made on the matter.

And to all those that bagged Collingwood for not taking him after they did their due diligence, it appears St Kilda has come to the same conclusion.
Interesting to hear as well that the Lions MAJOR sponsor also don't want them to take him.

anyone think we could throw our hat back in the ring now?
Interesting to see whether the sponsors worried the saints out of it, or if it was actually a football based decision
