It's Christmas! Get ito the spirit!!!!!
But your right, the "fingers of blame" pointed at Collingwood are un-called for!
As I said, If I was a Tiges fan, I'd be spewin at the club for leaving this request soooo late.
League denies Tigers' rookie plans for Polak

AFL get a decision correct for a change. Richmond will now have to decide whether to use pick 6 on Cousins.

good! as they should have. they can blame us all they want but the rest of the clubs were opposed to the tigers plan aswell. if wallace and co really want cuz they can take him with pick 6. it will be interesting to see if they go back on their word as i remeber reading that if this happened they would be taking a kid instead of cousins at pick 6.

tigers can just rookie draft cousins. then come rd 1 put polak on long term injury list and then promote cousins.
but if that was to happen does cousins have to nominate for rookie draft as well or not?

you cant be mature-aged-rookied if you've played AFL before

Agree with the decision. If long term injured players are to be eligible for mature Rookie listing, or something like, there needs to be rules set up, rather than decisions being made on an ad-hoc basis. Tigers left their request far too late anyway.
Still hoping the Tigers give Ben a go.

and if they were serious about Cousins, then there's nothing stopping them from taking him

Good. Now noone will have any problems if Richmond take him or not.

the main issue is the kid that Richmond want to draft is also wanted by Freo but on their rookie list. If Richmond select Cousins then Freo get to pick b4 Richmond and they will take the player so basically its Cousins or the kid.

Im chilled...i am just not going to bother listening to any opinions of people who call Polak...Pollack. Unfortunately, when reading on BigFooty in particular, it is only Collingwood supporters who make this mistake...which is unfortunate since we are the ones who have the biggest opinions. Makes us look like fools.
