Gardening ideas for the next few months

Post by annewilo »

Anyone got any good tips on plants and things to grow in the off season??

Of course I must take into consideration the hemisphere change here but maybe we could have things growing in time for the next season. Anyone ever found a plant that grows a black flower that I can grow next to my white roses........lol.....just filling in time till next season and thought the lightness of the topic may make us feel real for a minute or two.

Plant some black pansies around the bottom of the roses Anne. You're out of synch for planting though - 6 months too early.

Bones is the official Nick's rose expert - you could ask her if she's managed to come up with a black one yet.

Hmm, well I think I have a bit of a problem with putting pansies in the bottom of our garden, but seriously, do they make black ones? But it sounds like a good idea Mike. And as we are behind you guys, I think its six months to early.

Any suggestions from any one else

Sounds a bit religious to me the deep purple thing, but its a thought.

Well the garden is coming on, we have 8 bins out the back of our apartment, and a staircase, remember space is of the utmost here, so I dont have a lot to work with. May have to be a planter box on the stair balcony I think. I will let you know how it progresses.
