Gary Pert on our VFL side

Post by John Wren »

did anyone else hear pert's interview on mmm before the cats game? he spoke about the vfl team and its purpose. it was summed up in one word and it should come as no surprise that we've heard it here before ... DEVELOPMENT.

they don't care how many games the team loses. what they do care about is preparing players who can step up into the AFL team and win us a premiership. this is not about the here and now, it's about taking a strategic approach to sustained success.

so let's get behind this team knowing that they are building to something in 2, 3 even 5 years time.
Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle.

Agreed Jock. We've already seen Wellingham succeed in making it so far this year. Perhaps Reid and Dawes and Dyas to come on out of the experience from the VFL side. These are exciting times.
