So many gun shots can be heard on one of the vids in this link, terrifying!

There are unconfirmed reports that one of the shooters has been found dead in a room of the Mandalay Bay hotel, according to CNN.
5:26pm
An Australian witness staying at the Mandalay Bay hotel told CNN there was mayhem following the sound of machine gun fire.
"The initial gun shots were machine gun fire," he said. "We knew it was chaos and mayhem because people were running out of everywhere."
He also described the confusion when police came across a group of guests taking cover.
"We were tucked away, about 12 of us, in a carpark thing, and the SWAT team came and said hands up," he said.
"We didn't know where the shooter [was]. We knew [the police] were confused like we were. Police ushered us out."
Another witness said: "Police said run and we started running."

Mandalay bay is right down the airport end of the strip (I can't do north/south over there, the sun is in the wrong place)
Got me $@&^# where they were holding an outdoor concert there.
Vegas is an amazing place where people can walk the streets at all hours, drinking alcohol openly, watching street performers and F all trouble with zero visible Police presence.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

In response to this horror - Trump can you show why you were elected to lead?
Don't tweet, don't blame, don't escalate..... show mature leadership. Do the right thing.
It is what's needed in the face of this unspeakable horror. The Yanks need to pull together no matter who is responsible and rightly they will look to their leader.
Damn this seems a shocking incident.

If Sandy Hook did not change it, it's hard to see what will. The one thing that this might cause some to question is the prevailing myth that a shooter can be stopped by an armed member of the public. When the shooter is in a locked hotel room overhead, the public stand no chance of fighting back in time. It's insane, but maybe only an accumulation of such incidents in a short timeframe will cause the marginal voter to change the policy. I doubt Trump will show any leadership, but he's so unpredictable that anything is possible.
Two more flags before I die!

This tabloid cover page from a while back remains the perfect summary of the situation over there. This will keep happening and nothing will be done about it.

NRA will be rapt as Gun Sales will go up today as people will want to protect themselves. The Media re pissed off that he is a white man and not a Muslim. I don't know how a guy can move into a hotel with 10 guns, 200+ rounds of ammunition and no one notices anything suspicious. Only in America.
58 Dead 500 plus injured and sets a a new record but alas it's not the right time to talk about gun control.
