Gee wonder if Charlie Dean will get a call up to the ones now that Howe hurt his groin. He deserves it IMO after a few strong performances in the VFL

Out Howe In Dean
Out HH In Schultz
Out Bytel In Titch (?)

Those would be the changes if Titch is available. I am thinking JDG will definitely miss another week

The press conference revealed a fair bit about next week:

New 'Outs'- Howe and Bytel and possibly Harrison.
Still unavailable: McCreery, Elliott, Mihocek, Jiath, McStay, Steene, Eyre
50/50- De Goey, Mitchell,

Ins: Schultz (for Harrison)

Potential ins: Allan- as sub for Bytel. One of Kreuger, Dean or Begg for Howe

Will be a fascinating week of selection- I am delighted that Rory Laird has retired- he always seemed to play very well against the Pies.

Huge match to hopefully keep our momentum going.

We may have found another gem in the boy Sidebottom at half back flank...
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...

^dammit that draw nullifies our draw somewhat.
Having the sub go down is kinda like we done lose anyone. Schultz straight back in. Allen I guess gets a go.
The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

Fly said Elliott potentially miss crows just got some more back tightness the last 2 days and said on the right track on his recovery also I know from close sources that he needs another week off due to personal reasons
I wish jamie well
I’m kind of entertaining the thought of Johnson as sub: and either Kruger or Ed Allan can play Elliotts role
Was thinking Carmichael but he is another week away from his quad injury

With 3 more outs and only Schultz certain to return, we will need a further 2 inclusions for this game.

I would expect Dean to come in to replace the injured Howe. Further more, there is a chance we'll see Allan debut, probably as the sub. I have a feeling Allan may be the kind of player (like Richards) who plays better at the elite level.

Outs (all injured): Harrison, Howe, Bytel

Ins: Schultz, Dean, Allan (sub)

This will be a much harder game, especially given our new round of outs. Nevertheless, if we bring our maximum intensity to the fore, we have the team to win.

Outs: Double H, Howe, Bytel

Ins: Schultz, Dean, Allan

Krueger no where near it. AJ not yet but could be a chance in the coaches eyes. I wouldn't mind seeing Parker get a game. Ryan and Demattia no where near it against the bullants either from what I saw. Allan gets the last spot only because he was the emergency held over.

Give Titch and JDG another week off

^Why do you think Kreuger is nowhere near it? Was his performance below standard today?

I watched the second half of the VFL match on Saturday. Krueger was all out of timing in my mind and very out of form. I don’t recall him winning a marking contest, mind you we didn’t have much at ground level to mop up. He had a big contest on the wing in the last. Instead of handballing to a mid he decided to take on the tackle and spin round a couple of times. No doubt he was trying but I don’t think he has the fitness or form at the moment. Fair to say the supply from the VFl Pies mids wasn’t great but sooner or later you have to take the opportunity that comes your way. I didn’t see that.

I think Kreuger needs the pressure off and to just enjoy playing footy regularly for a while so that he can get some consistency. Then maybe we will see some improvement.

Kreuger's last chance should be as a defender in the Reserves. Simple straight line attack on the footy that won't test his brain cells but take advantage of his elite closing speed.
I love the Pies, hate Carlscum
