What a magnificent night. After two hours in the queue outside the MCC Members and a round of drinks with my son and mate, we headed over to Westpac for The March. Met my daughters there to kick off our first march to the 'G. This was the perfect prelude to an unforgettable night. Well done Joffa and all who contributed to the organisation. And, yes, the bridge was genuinely shaking under the weight of our Magpie mass.
We were fortunate enough to gain reserved seats in the Members Ballot for next week. Haven't been this excited since 1990. Bring it on !!! _________________ ex : You love Collingwood more than you love me

What I loved about the night was that when Geelong ran onto the ground there was barely a murmur. But before Collingwood ran onto the ground the crowd was already going crazy. And the long, slow Collingwood chant was already echoeing around the 'G. It was like we were calling the boys to come out. And then when they did appear, the roar was ear splitting! |

A big pat on the back to Joff for persisting with this wonderful initiative and for the thousands in the choir who brought it to fruition last night. Speaking as a lone supporter sitting at home on the lounge, the effect was awe inspiring and spine tingling and certainly as close to anything I've heard from the pommie soccer crowds.
I was there in 2002/03 but this year's version was something else!
Geez it's great to be a Collingwood supporter! _________________ Jonno

We of the 1990 cheer squad were in M31 up the back, along with some of the oldies from the 60's & 70' & 80's cheer squads. We did our best to unite with everybody in the slow chant, I think we succeeded !
Watching the replay with the volume right up - awesome !!
WELL DONE MAGPIE ARMY. |

Unreal.... Ive never heard a crowd that loud when we ran out last night
and when the collingwoood chant works it is amazing. The fans really
united early. I, like joffa am a big soccer fan and love nothing more than
when the crowd is singing as 1 .. best night at the footy in a long time.

I hate to say but I have never been a big fan of the chant but last night IT TOOK OFF..
As my sister said, it's the sort of chant you cannot force really..But last night the timing was PERFECT.!!!!
The intensity when it started was tremendous and you couldn't help but get caught up in it...
What a Night???? I had to tell people around me not to pinch me because I was afraid I would wake up from a dream.
Amazing atmosphere, fabulous crowd and shame on the soft cats fans who left at half time.. like the ones near us. SUCK it up SourPUSS Bomber and fans...
