As I said earlier... as long as we come out breathing fire... that'll do me. A win would be nice too. Who knows? |
If 7 out of our best 22 isn't a injury crisis, I don't know what is. |

WTF is going on? |
Cloke will be decapitated running through the banner and because it's after the teams submit the final sheet, we'll be down a player before the bounce.
Jolls will slip on the centre circle, knee done, career over!!
We'll end the night with Sinclair as first ruck. |
And to think, we could have got Setanta for a song! He would be handy back up depth at the moment |
Depth on the injury list you mean, not even getting a game for GWS at the moment. |

I count 9. All are injured or on their way back from injury, and all would be in our best 22.
Thomas
Shaw
Didak
N.Brown
Macaffer
Krakouer
Ball
Tarrant
Reid
With Johnson returning this week and Maxwell last week.
They are significant losses. Two of our best 5 mids and our two best key defenders. Our number 1 small forward. Our number 1 half back.
It's a crisis for the next game or 2 at least. However, if we have good fortune from here on in and mostly are only missing the 3 long-termers, then we have a good enough list to contend. _________________ Well done boys! |

If we sustain any more injuries on the weekend to major players, we are screwed for ANZAC Day.
After my initial 45 point prediction, I will trim it down to 21 points. Port will give us a good run for our money but talent and quality may just get us across the line.
I just hope we don't sustain any more injuries. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

And what's with all these fricken soft tissue injuries?
Isn't Buttifant supposedly the best fitness/conditioner in the league or has the supposedly tough pre-season cooked our players already?
I'm not confident one little bit. |
Conspiracy theory #324.
Mick Malthouse says Buttifant is one of his best friends. You don't think he might be involved in a little sabotage do you? |
Do you think anyone finds that funny? _________________ "Only the weak believe that what they do in battle is who they are as men" - Thomas Marshall - "Ironclad". |

We are going to struggle against Port for sure. Before the season started its a 110% Collingwood win but in the current circumstances, its an arm wrestle.
They have plenty of tall forwards which will surely stretch us in the backline. Plus we've lost two line breakers and distributors in Shaw And Thomas. Let's hope their small forwards have their usual game or they could get us.
I think we beat them in the midfield which should provide plenty of ball into the forward line. The loss of Ball and how we replace him is a key factor also. I think their backline is weak these days so if our forwards get on top we've got them.
We shouldn't underestimate the travel factor in our favour either. Recently Port don't travel well at all, so that will work in our favour too.
All that is predicated on us playing with more elan, power and cohesion than we have for the past few weeks. God I hope we do, I really do. _________________ "Only the weak believe that what they do in battle is who they are as men" - Thomas Marshall - "Ironclad". |

Just taken the $4.10 on offer from Sportsbet for Port to win.
We start again with one player short with Sinclair in the side. |

Our list is paper thin mate. I've been saying this since our kids did NOTHING during the NAB Cup. People said they were only praccy matches. Well the fact is that was the chance the kids had to show something impressive and they didn't. The point being that at this stage they can't. Hence we have no depth on our list at all.
We've been conned ever since 2010. |

Pies to win
After the humiliation of last week and the media beat ups the players will be pissed off.
Add the wonderful support to the club, the coach and the players by some "supporters" and its now sit back and enjoy. _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

They've improved as shown by there competitive outing against Sydney last week while we have a playing list suffering from the plague, decapitation, spontaneous combustion and cannibalism. |
Have to temper any assessment of Port v Sydney with the fact the game was played at AAMI stadium. Didn't beat the Bumbers over here and I don't think they're travelling too well despite their 3-0 standing. |
