Hey London Dave. I've just arrived in London for a year or so and wanting to know if there is anywhere to watch the footy. Haven't had any luck finding places yet. Can you give me any hints. Missing the Pies already. |

In a word, nowhere.
Sky have a 2 hr pacakege consisting of most of 1 game (90mins or so) and 30 min of highlights of rest of game, shown one week later. I'ts repeated a couple of times during the week on the various Sky Sports channels
Channel 5 do a 1 hr highlights show on the Thursday morning (4.30 to 5 am ish, depending upon how long baseball telecast goes) following the round, so is the 'first' football to make it.
Several pubs, such as Walkabout and other antipodean bars show replays of matches, you'd need to call em to find out.
usually a few of us in nicks chat room for the matches, and there is a London Supporters group, who usually meet last weekend of a month, though I havent made it for a while, as it's cricket season/my missus drags me off to the continent to try to ram a bit of kulture down me throat!
Depending upon where you are living, I may be of more help!
email me dave@magpies.net if ya wanna meet up with the LSG. |

Hoping to make the trip to the big smoke from up here in sunny Manchester. However, my first priority is to see the Mighty Pies win the Premiership in 2003 at the MCG, madly saving the pennies for the trip over. _________________ Stephen Ives, Ashton-under-Lyne near Manchester, England (ex Moe & Frankston, Vic.)
