Interesting this gets attention , but a filth player Simon White belting one of his own fan's is hidden away on page 3 if that was one of our lads it would be a 3 page spread.

it shouldn't happen. end of. the footy should be a safe environment.

you really need to get out of your cave more often.

When you have Alchol at the Footy it will never be 100% safe

I am commenting here against my better judgement, but here goes.......

This is exactly what happened:
The Crows supporters in the area were getting pretty excited approaching the final siren it's fair to say, and the Collingwood supporters in the area were more than prepared to cop some stick when the game finished. The attitude was "we will not react", "don't get sucked in", stick together in case anything gets out of hand.
Some of the taunting from the locals was way over the top, it went far further than a friendly, or even an aggressive "go crows", or even a "piss off home" on the way through.

The behaviour of the Adelaide people was quite disgusting to be honest.

Fight challenges (that were never going to eventuate) were being issued left, right & centre, cups were being thrown into the Collingwood group, there were even a couple of them walking through the group bumping shoulders trying to get a reaction - but even so, still no reaction from the Collingwood people.

I can tell you what the guy did that was handcuffed in that footage:
He pushed a guy in Adelaide colours away, that was lining up a mate of his for a king-hit after blinding him with a beer in the eyes.
The police didn't go after the aggressor at all.

Another thing I can tell you:
This footage was filmed by a Crows supporter on a phone, he started filming before the final siren obviously hoping something would happen.

So, where in the vision has anybody wearing Collingwood colours actually done anything wrong????
All I see are a couple of Collingwood supporters talking to the police with their arms out non-aggressively in a "what's going on here" manner, and a bloke get escorted away in handcuffs with the reason for this not apparent based on the footage.

Channel 10 should be absolutely ashamed of themselves with the tact they've taken with this "story".
The news report is based on some heavily edited footage off a camera phone; there were no reporters anywhere near to have any clue about what actually happened.
I think the words "violent rampage" were used, and it is about as far from the truth as one can possibly get.
And what does the taxi driver have to do with anything????

Collingwood bashing sensationalist rubbish at its best!!!!!!

Ed, have a word to your mate Quartermain..............

What gave you the idea I disagree with you?

The fact that something isn't acceptable doesn't automatically make it newsworthy. I don't believe that it's acceptable to get into a fight outside a nightclub on King Street, but do we get a news story every time that happens?

My cave's just fine, thanks. It's not even in Canberra! So much potential material lost.

As a regular at footy park in the late 90s I can tell you crows fans are the most feral and aggressive bunch of people you would ever meet. And the cops of course are totally against Collingwood fans.

Never had a problem at a port game. Only crows.
