So, I tried to snag a couple of reserved seats, as you do. Instead of the now $7.50 plus $2.50 ($10.00) at the MCG, I'm being charged $14.00 plus $3.50. Is this right? Is Etihad more expensive?

Is this 'fully ticketed'? Cos if rather just rock up on the night and stand or find a seat on level 3.

Thanks.

Isn't this because you use a different ticketing agency for Etihad? One uses Ticktek and the other uses Ticketmaster.

maybe, dunno. Gotta laugh at a processing fee when you choose the email option and print your own tickets!

yep, etihad is more expensive and uses different ticketing agency.

i'd just scan in on the day or get a free upgrade at the ground.

edit: http://afl.com.au/tickets/venues/etihad

it's a category "a" game so can walk up.

Etihad is different.

If you're an afl member, you need to get them in the presale in February or you miss out.

The $14 ones you got are discounted prices of the actual prices, but generally not the $7 afl members tickets.

They do have the $7 ones. A group of friends get all theirs in the presale.

it's to do with the seat category you choose.

I paid $14 for the St Kilda game and $21 for the Bulldogs. All on level 3. Confused

I also was stung $14 per ticket and I was reserving 3 seats for my brothers and I.
So we all pay for our membership , I print the tickets myself and still they sucked an extra $42 from my credit card.
It's unfair.

The deal with AFL members at Etihad is that they only get access to 3000 reserved seats on the bottom deck unless the game is considered a fully reserved game.

I bought tickets for our group in the pre sale (late Feb, early March?) and got in that area for $7.50 each.

The $14 cost is for reserved seats outside that 3000 seat area but it's still a reduction on what the public have to pay.

I get that. But why is it $21 for the Bulldogs game? On the same level.

Just a guess but I reckon because it's a Pies home game and probably in the highest category of pricing that the AFL in all their dumbness introduced this year.
