No.

A settled side is overrated.

A settled back six/seven, sure, but there are a number of disadvantages to playing the same 22 week in, week out.

You aren't managing player workload.

You aren't pumping games into kids.

And an injury at any moment will take your settled side away.

I'd rather be flexible and have 27 or 28 guys rolling around getting at least a regular sniff of the big time. This is on the proviso that you have 27 or 28 guys good enough to justify it.

We probably have 30

We're $£$%^%%$ with our inside mids for starters, game here-game there, that ain't how you built continuity, and we're also messing with our outside mids, it has to stop, the time has come to give who ever the time to actually gell with the team.

We have 2 kid rucks who have to service different mids on a regular basis,
and everyone wonders why we get smashed in clearances most weeks.

Having depth is one thing, but not allowing that depth to evolve is as good as having no depth at all.

We'll find out where we are next week, when we go the zone I just hope bucks throws men back, not just one, but 3, we go the zone when we want a spell, we can't let it hurt us like it has in the past against the Hawks, if we do well with the zone we should win.

In 2011 Geelong never once named an unchanged side. I'd say that worked out ok for them.

You cannot develop the younger players if you don't play them. We have great depth due to the fact that our younger players have had a lot more game time than the average for their ages. St. Kilda for years stuck to their older players with little development and look where that got them.

Having 30 players competing for 22 spots seems a good situation to me. If you don't play them they will never strive to the same extent.

A lot of this merry go round is caused by the fact we feel the need to justify getting that b-grade plodder from GWS for one of our stars.
