I happened to watch a few games on the weekend. All of a sudden, if a runner is within 200 meters of the ball, the umpires were paying free kicks against the team! Talk about a massive over reaction.

How can you go from NEVER calling a free kick, even in situations where the runner interferes with a potential game winning play by blocking an opposing player from making contact with the ball, to calling about 10 runner interference calls in one weekend????

totally absurd. Our game is a little bit broken if you ask me if the interpretation of the rules change so much week to week.

After seeing cloke get fifty metres against him, for just equally pushing and shoving a dogs defender, nothing surprises me anymore in this new world of interpretations of decisions.
