this might be described as a fanciful notion but if we win the next 7 of 8 games ... in september you only need to have your noses in front at the final bell. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

LOL, love ya optimism JW, but the "perceptive fellow" will be out to get yer now ol buddy ! Me ?- ah last night I just poured a chivas, and glowed in the light of a real gutsy old time Magpie win, against a desperate opponent. And glowed in the knowledge the "perceptive fellow" brigade will take the week off, hopefully ! _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

One week at a time will do me, not sure we can beat the Weagles so looking beyond that is really tough. |

Yep week at a time for me. While there has been significant improvement over the past two weeks if we cannot eradicate our penchant for turning the ball over in the simplest of circumstances I suspect we'll lose more than we win over the coming 5 weeks.
This week is again huge. Win and the confidence will be sky high. Bring the pressure from yesterday and we're a big chance. Mind you they'll be returning to WA full of confidence too. Just have to remind them they were beaten badly by Ninthmond!!! _________________ Side By Side Forever |

Love the optimism JW, but I'd prefer to take it one week at a time even if it's a cliche too often used in football by everyone.
Our club has been inconsistent with performances this year and this is reflective of where we're at as a whole in terms of development. Personally I think we're a team in transition so this idea of looking far ahead shouldn't apply in this scenario. I was excited about the victory last week against Port Adelaide but that could be all undone if we're unable to beat the Eagles later today so the expectations need to be tempered in my opinion.
However in saying that here's hoping we win today! GO THE PIES! _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Given our form over the last 8 weeks, expect losses to the Giants and Lions in the next 2 games to end our finals streak |

Realistic
Port are like us, totally hit the wall, we are out of the 8 now and can't see us getting back in. We lost to the Dogs! How will we beat Giants or Lions? |
