Come on, stop trying to make excuses now!
Now you're being like those ESS fans where Hird could do no wrong! |
Like me I doubt you are an expert on this drug and how it could find it's way into someones system innocently.
There has been a precedent set already of how this could occur so let's wait and see what the players have to say before we burn them at the stake. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Clem takes about 4 days to get out of your system, so they can forget the argument that they ate meat overseas during holidays because they were tested in FEB 10..
They are both from queensland and are great mates...
They didnt get clem into there systmem via meat, they both took it knowingly to get an advantage. Give these 2 the boot ASAP..We dont tolerate drugs at our club.. |
http://theconversation.com/health-warning-about-body-sculpting-drug-clenbuterol-23815
"Clenbuterol is legally prescribed in Australia as an airway dilator for horses. It also has anabolic properties which led to its use in food-producing animals to increase lean meat yield, before it was banned for that purpose in the United States and Europe in the 1990s.
Internationally, a number of elite athletes, such as cyclist Alberto Contador and sprinter Katrin Krabbe, have been caught using clenbuterol as a performance-enhancing drug, despite it being banned by the International Olympic Committee and World Anti-Doping Agency.
The study, published in todays Medical Journal of Australia, shows clenbuterol use has risen in Australia, with calls to the NSW Poisons Information Centre about exposure to the drug rising from three in 2008 to 27 in 2012.
In the nine years to December 2012, hospitals, health-care workers and members of the public reported 63 cases of clenbuterol exposure. At least 53 patients (84%) required hospitalisation".... _________________ âI even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didnât keep âem under long enoughâ Kinky Friedman

Can't be bothered googling so what's the difference between an A and B sample?
I assume the blood tested for both samples would be taken on the same day so is it simply a case of allowing the blood to age before testing again or is it merely a case of testing again to confirm the results of A were correct to begin with? _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

B sample is a back-up in case the A sample test was contaminated or the test regime was stuffed up. If the B sample proved negative then the benefit of the doubt can go to the athlete.
Also the testing regime used on the B sample can be different - ie. more focused on the particular drug found in sample A because they know what they are going after. |

I can't believe they would be so stupid in this day & age that they deliberately took the substances (Heaters gambling stupidity notwithstanding)
There has to be another explanation. _________________ âI even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didnât keep âem under long enoughâ Kinky Friedman |

If guilty delist **** them
If sample B is negative keep them and have the doctor and coach have a very frank discussion with them
Wait till April whatever to have the B sample results known before burning them at the stake.
Again if they test positive the second time delist without pay
maybe we can get a couple of top up players like Essendrug did _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

I think A and B samples are taken simultaneously but tested consecutively.
The B sample is set down to be tested on April 14. _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |
