Roos has hidden him down back a bit, why is that? Same as Jack Watts? |
i'd hazard a guess he had no defensive side to him. |
Not likely to push Blair out of the side as a lead up half forward then? |
oh dear. you wouldn't think so. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

I just don't think he does anything well enough ( other than take hangers ) to be any sort of difference in our best team going forward.
Pass. |

If you think Elliott and Fasolo are the exact same type of player, then you don't know much about the game. _________________ Est. 2002 |

You're probably right. Id rather take a gamble on someone like Bennell. |
Ditto. Well worth the gamble IMO if we can negotiate a decent deal as the upside is massive. If the kid got his head together he'd make Treloar look like a plodder. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

No, they're not.
Yes they can both fly for marks, but other than the high flying Elliot plays the small forward role more and Fas plays more of a leading short full forward.
They have similarities but are by no means exactly the same _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Well I guess having him as our forward target for the long high ball would be better than our usual option of Blair.

What would it take? Good hands, good kick. Surely better than Jack Watts.. |

Howe has kicked 80 goals 65 behinds in 100 games (average of 0.8, 55% accuracy).
Watts, 83 goals 44 behinds in 115 games (average of 0.7, 65% accuracy).
Not much to split them in terms of goal kicking. Both have spent time down back as well as up forward. I'd rate Watts the better player, but if we were looking at them the question will be whether we need a tall forward or a medium (Watts 196cm, Howe 190cm). _________________ Well done boys! |

Good points raised. I don't think Watts plays to his size though. Howe can take strong overhead which makes him play taller. |

The talk was that a number of clubs shyed away from Howe because his asking price was to high. Like anything, its all relative to the cost.
Im not a fan of either but if Howe came cheap enough, you could mount an argument for getting him to the club on the back of his versatility at either end of the ground.
I haven't bothered to check his B and F finishes but if he hasn't been consistently in the top 10 at that club, Im not sure I would be in a hurry to invest. |

The more I think about it, the less keen on him I am. As good a mark as he is, he is not what we need. If he was 5 cms taller I'd think differently, but as it is, he's slightly shorter than Pendles, so is not tall enough to become a KPF, which is what we need. |
