gault was no where near as bad as I thought, he was in the ruck for most of the last 8 minutes and did some nice work.
Lots of positives, I'm going to have to sleep on my back after watching it though. |
yeah. gault's not nearly as bad as we might have first thought. i have seen the game twice now and his ruck work is ok. didn't let us down. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Yeah, Gault was that good I couldn't fit him in my first 20 votes for collingwood players _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Agree on Gault, made a few mistakes (who didn't) but 2nd & 3rd efforts at times were telling. Not sure it'll be enough to keep his spot. Might come down to Witts availability or Whites form in the VFL. Saints seem to use Bruce as their 2nd ruck so Moore might be an option and name someone like Howe or Sack depending on how they went in the VFL. |

We also need our big players, in particular the rucks to be more aggressive. Grundy was getting rag-dolled by that pretend footballer Hampson. That was doing my head in. We need someone to assume the Anthony Rocca role of 2002/3, and be a physical threat to the opposition, so that other players walk taller around him. Prior to Rocca I can only think of Monky and Millane that had that effect on our team.
In 1990 we also had Kelly, Banks, Brown, Shaw and Manson. Start something at your peril. I suggest hawthorn have had those type of players that allow softcocks like Bruest to get away with it.
Oh don't use that Monky or Monkey in case you upset some mod _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

Geelong supporter I think. |
He's definitely Richmond. He's one of the best commentators/journo's going around. His interview of Brent Prismall today on Grandstand was the best one I've heard on the Essendon saga.
I don't know what he's doing associating himself with Robbo however on that Fox show. |

most definitely geelong. |
Apologies...I had him down for a Richmond fan for some reason |

i thought it sounded like stan alves. there was no special comments in that grab just gerard. that was odd because there was more than enough opportunities for somoto interject. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Reid was excellent and makes a huge difference. |
Williams was fine when he kicked long down the middle or long towards the flanks. Only when he went short did he stuff up. He should ALWAYS kick long.
I think Williams is our kick in guy now. Last night Pendles took a couple, Ramsay one or two and I think Reid had a couple too. _________________ After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!

I haven't read through all 15 pages so apologies if this has been covered.
Having watched the last 30 seconds of the game over and over again yesterday, there were a couple of things I noticed that were very pleasing.
After the Grundy goal when everyone was going mental and celebrating, Langdon showed a calm head and some great leadership by grabbing Moore by the jumper and taking him down to the backline.
Fast forward a few seconds and Richmond get that quick clearance with 4 seconds left on the clock. They ran out of time in the end but for me it was going straight down Darcy Moore's throat. Was also great to see De Goey and Crisp head down there too along with the loose Langdon so we had a +4 in that area. Really pleasing decision making. |

That's why Langdon is future captaincy material and one of about 49 reasons why I'd be surprised to see him dropped for Maynard this week. |
