Haven't seen enough of the blews to make any proper prediction. Again we have an unsettled team, which is a worry. Not thrilled with White returning and I think Moore should've made way for Cloke's return. Apart from a few glimpses of brilliance he has given us very little in the last few games. Well done to Crocker, haven't seen much but from what I have he looks very lively. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

From Mark Stevens twitter 1 hour ago:
"Recapping @7AFL post match last night: Murmurs/mail that Pies will have 2 late changes v Blues today"

Might just be the Pies foxing the Blues. |
Cloke will play today according to my mail, we will be going tall and stretch the blues in the air - that could just be code for bombing long into the forward line as per usual though... |
At least we all understand the "Run your full ten metres and kick it straight down the guts" gameplan. |

I'm actually nervous about this game, and shouldn't be.
Carlton have the worst list in the AFL (Essendon excluded), but for some reason their 22 today looks better than ours, on paper anyway.
There are 10 questionable players in the Collingwood side, that being kids or players who simply shouldn't be getting games.
While I reckon there's only 8 in the Carlton side.
That's a worry.
We should win though, and I bloody well hope we do.
Reverse double header too, so if we lose to Carlton Eddie's palace at the glasshouse might burn while the VFL is playing in front of it. |

^ you expecting pitchforks and a storming later today? how could that occur when no one supposedly goes there?
fwiw, i think your nervousness is without foundation even though you provide some basis for your emotion. that said, the line keeps coming in. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

I think the line keeps coming in based on the Sidebottom and/or Pendles late outs rumour. Once the final teams are named, and they are named, I expect the money will come for us again.
Wouldn't be putting a dollar on either team today though. |

Looking at the respective forward-lines, there is a very real prospect of a nil-all draw, after extra time.
Naturally, having said that, this will turn out to be a 25 goal to 22 shoot-out (likely because the respective back-lines are even worse than the forward-lines). |

yes. like the goalless second quarter from last week. i bet tom elliott will be asking the afl to either widen the goals or move them to fifty metre line to make the game more exciting. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Having them 50 metres closer (mostly) works OK for the Welfare at Docklands. |

Outside the Members area now.
Free heraldsuns are being handed out.
In the words of the announcer.
"Only given out to the general public"!
Is there any other group of humans who are not a member of the general public? _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Just had a conversation with Joffa.
He had a TV crew following him.
He was dressed pretty weird.
So does that mean he is a member of the General Public? _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Carlton are 4th for time in the forward 50, but struggle to score. Walker in for them may turn that time into scores, especially with our gutted defence.
Need our midfielders to hit the scoreboard, as our forwards aren't.

Cloke needs another week or two in the ressies to make him absolutely filthy and angry so he plays like a man possessed when he is recalled to the seniors. This spell in the VFL is designed to be the only one he ever has. I see him back for the Cats game. |
