That has got me stuffed. |
Agree, Atkins is a very good player. Atkins and pick 13 is more than fair for Gibbs, in fact you could argue it is overs. |

Some interesting comments on trade radio re trade value of some of our players:
Cloke - next to nothing
Frost - Late 3rd/4th (I'm hoping the 3 year contract means Brisbane would offer something of more value)
Witts - Late 3rd/4th (I would have thought with multiple clubs interested we might do better). If he were willing to stay, I wouldn't move him for less than a mid second rounder. I'm not sure what opportunities he sees at GCS with Nicholls there. He'd almost be better off staying to back up Grundy.
Marsh - no interest from FRE or WCE yet and not clear whether he intends to stay in footy (have I missed anything on this?). May end up staying listed with us next year if we think a year off may change things. _________________ All We Can Be |

Any chance we could get Rockliff with some combination of Greenwood, Frost, Witts and/or Oxley? _________________ All We Can Be |

Carlton apparently sniffing around a few clubs looking for midfielders to replace Gibbs who has told them he's going to Adelaide either this year or next as a FA. They will have pick 14 in there grips from the Gibbs deal and are prepared to use it to land a established midfielder. Wonder which GWS player they will target now. Wonder if they should change there name to western GWS satellite dumping ground !!
Wonder if we have anyone that would interest them and land us pick 14 and back in the hunt for a young KPP |

It's being reported that Jordan Lewis has actually asked to be traded to Melbourne. |

Well that would just HEAP the pressure on Mitchell [V2], and potentially O'Meara to deliver the goods in 2017.
How funny would it be having Vickery up forward and no arsehole to pump the ball to him!
I'd laff 'til I shat.... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Correct and likely to get the OK as well. There still looking for cap space to fit the new players in.
Reportedly O'Meara knocked back $950k next season to stay at Suns so I would guess he will be rewarded handsomely at the Hawks maybe not to the same level but would have to be $750k you would expect. If it's not and its a shite load less then the AFL need to look into draft tampering by the Hawks.
I said in 2012 he would go to the Hawks they had there eye on him then. He would have been there this year except for his knee issues. |

Who's taking the piss? $950k for someone who hasn't played a game for two years. $750k is still ridiculous and I can't fathom anyone stupid enough to pay that. Good luck to him if it's even close to that, surely not. God no wonder we weren't interested if this is what he has asked for. _________________ "Still waiting for your call Caroline ... not a quote in sight. Great and we got Mayne ! |
Yep, that's what happens when you panic-buy in week one of the trade.
Although he is still contracted to Whoreks for 2017.

Lewis is a trade, and will cost draft picks and cash.
Mayne only cost us cash.
Hardly a panic buy. IMO we took the two best available free agents that filled needs at our club.
We cant moan all year about Blair and then complain when we upgrade him (moderately) to a guy who can just walk to the club. _________________ No Pressure, No Diamonds

Why would we need Lewis? We have at least 4 midfielders better than Lewis, Melbourne don't. |
