We could ask John Coates to take over in 3 yrs when he's completed 30 yrs as Head of the AOC. |

GWS score their first ever victory over Collingwood despite being injury-depleted...
After 8 rounds we now sit with a 2-6 record and depending on how Sydney get on against North Melbourne we could occupy 17th spot on the ladder at the end of the round...
Yet, I still don't expect Eddie to FINALLY give Bucks his marching orders...
Just how far down do we have to go before something is done about this whole situation?! |

There has not been a contested election in over a decade.
Democratic process has been eroded to the point of being non-existent.
There was a always going to be a price to be paid for allowing the cult of personality Ed constructed around his presidency. |
Where does one get a copy of said constitution? |

looks a bit archaic.
As usual most "members" have no voting rights re board.
So having 70000 members should be changed to x amount of stooges and y amount for the silver spoons.
It is all about control. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

The fact is that no one has put their hand up to join the CFC board and challenge the appointments being made by Ed and the board members of the time. If there is no challenge there is no reason to vote. End of story
Some of the individuals on this board who talk out against Eddie have their own agendas and have long term grievances.
If you want to vote Eddie out you need to find a suitable candidate. This needs to be someone who can value add their contribution to the club. If you have a readonable candidate members will give it due consideration but there has to be a true and measurable benefit to the club and it members.
Also just consider one vital aspect of running an AFL club. Some clubs have sponsors who pay little for the privilege and are fairly insignificant entities from a corporate perspective. At least two two clubs have no major sponsor. We have the pick of the bunch. All I can say is look before you leap. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

The reason voting is restricted to the social club members goes back to the time that the club applied for its initial liquor licence. To be honest there is no reason or motivation for the people running the club to change the constitution. Also take into consideration that rampant challenges and unstable club leadership lead to an unstable organisation. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

The main reason Eddie remains as President as there has not been a person challenge who has any wealth, credibility, personality, profile & Charisma. The last one that was spoken about that might challenge was a used car salesman. What we need is Eddie MK II and that will start with the departure of Buckley and a complete shake up of the coaching department and staff. It started when Gubby was appointed but it stopped due to what transpired with Whitfield. Eddie will bring an outsider in to make the tough calls, the club will spin it as a review. Now that could mean Buckley stays and the rest go or the whole lot go. |

I heard a rumour the KOA have been having secret meetings in undisclosed locations over the past few months. Anyone else heard about this? Or is it a still a closely guarded secret? _________________ Join the KOA at www.facebook.com/groups/knightsofabbotsford |

You are very good at denigrating Collingwood members you do not know and have little understating of their values, standards, experience, contribution or intellects. Put simply, if you perceive them as thinking differently to yourself they must all be stooges or silver spoons. |

I have had a lot to do with a number of community organisations and with one I put the constitution together.
I have been president with one community organisation that now generates well over a million dollars.
The thing that has always pissed me off is was the way a lot of thses organisations try to stifle voting rights.
I believe in democracy and not in autocracy.
Maybe we should design a test for Nicks before you are allowed to post on it.
It should incorporate all of the so called collingwood values, experience, etc...
One problem is...who determines the test and who marks it.
Comes back to that one great put down...you are not a real collingwood supporter. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

All that is fine but it does not justify referring to the Social Club membership in this manner.
As previously noted there has not been a vote for no one has challenged the board or has gone to the membership and asked them to vote them onto the CFC board. It has nothing to do with manipulation. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

I thought that the KOA which had little traction went the same way of the VHS tape and evaporated. The best thing for all concerned is to keep them secret. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

I am sure he would be rushing to give up his $750 pa job so that he could take up the non renumerated roll of Collingwood president _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |
