Free kick was paid in error imo, not sure how else Polec could've tackled him. Did everything right. Couldn't have happened to a nicer club though

The umpire was dropped yet those vermin Stevic and Schmitt still get a gig.
I hope the get a grand final and make the most biggest cockups seen and are publically pilloried so much they both retire. Hopefully costing the Tigers a win and have Caro going spare.

I have been saying this for years.
High contact should be an automatic free kick against the player who caused the high contact - in this example, against the cheating Eagle prick.
If you catch someone high: free against you.
If the tackle went high because the other player ducked into it or raised his arm to scab a free: free against him.
(Note that a player is perfectly entitled to crouch over for legitimate reasons (such as to pick up the ball) and be protected by the ump against high contact. You can't clobber someone high just because they are bent over. It is only when the player ducks into a tackle that he cops a free against him.)

Geelong are and have been coached to scab free kicks, it's part of the game plan because they know they can get away with it.
Only if Collingwood players start scabbing free kicks in this way will it be banned.
