K,
Small does not mean weak. Very good centre of gravity, strong in contest, decent hop, and has 6 gears...
Do you recall some of the hits that JT took last year?
Tony Liberatore and Diesel were also kind of small..
Even Josh Daicos is strong for his hieght, its the way they use their centre of gravity. Steele Sidebottom sends them flying when he shakes his tail.. _________________ On the eve of a Dynasty

Do you think JT has 6 gears? I'm not convinced...
(Our team in general is still a bit lacking in pace.)
But (e.g.) definitely an excellent set shot, at least when he's in range and not too wide. |

Yes, JT's nickname is Jet for a reason.
Hence, why i want DeGoey in the middle and Treloar or Stephenson on the wing, for purpose of pace _________________ On the eve of a Dynasty |

The players nicknamed him Jet a few years back, his top speed is up there with Treloar.
Its hard to showcase from the pocket though.
Stephenson has the best top speed of all. _________________ On the eve of a Dynasty

I wish we had some players with huge acceleration from a standing start (ala T. Francis). |

I'm not aware of any current players with great 20m times.
(Marsh was the best.) |

Degoey is quick off the mark.
Its a big ground. I'd choose Top speed over acceleration if i had to choose one only. _________________ On the eve of a Dynasty |

But there's surely a good reason why at the Draft Combine they measure 20m times and not 100m (or 40m) times... (unless they are fools).
2k as a measure of footy fitness. 20m as a measure of footy speed. |

Leading for marks, bursting from clearences.
However, the chain handball game if used correctly does not require players with good acceleration. Instead it can be used to eventually find players who are already in motion and ready to breakaway ( hit top speed ). An example of this, is Western Bulldogs 2016. Who play similar style to Collingwood.
In terms of 2k, they use average speed calculations over the distance travelled via GPS. Viewing different peaks, aswell as finishing time.
Clubs still test 100m sprints.
Guys that score good 20m times are usually tall athletic guys with long legs. _________________ On the eve of a Dynasty |

Joel Wilkinson holds the Draft Combine record.
[Buddy's draft year was quite slow. (Slow conditions?) It looks like a snail-like 3s got 10th place -- and Buddy didn't make the top 10.] |
