Tigers apologise after being accused of groping teammate
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/tigers-accused-of-groping-teammate-20200807-p55jkb.html
'“It was a stupid action and I am deeply embarrassed. I’ve apologised to Mabior,” Vlastuin said.
Short said "it was unacceptable behaviour and a poor example”.
Chol said he had taken no offence.
“I have no issue whatsoever with those players, or any of my teammates, but understand that is not the sort of example we should be setting,” Chol said.
...
Riminton added: "The question to you is, if this is horseplay, are all premiership players within Richmond expected to tolerate [this] or is it just the black player is expected to tolerate it. A question for you Damien Hardwick."'
[TV news showed the video footage, which was very clear.] |

can't stand this behavior, I think Chol knew the cameras were rolling and and warned him early, but the dummy didn't get the hint.
He is lucky Chol didn't put him through the wall. I have seen blokes snap over this stuff. |

Reminds me of a work Christmas party years back.
One of the guys going round grabbing everyone on the dick. Until someone punched his lights out. No one got the arse from the incident.
Dunno why you'd want to grab someone on the snag? Especially on live TV. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Tigers' legal counsel interviewed Chol about groping incidents
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/tigers-legal-counsel-interviewed-chol-about-groping-incidents-20200808-p55jun.html
"St Kilda have also apologised for the actions of former Tiger premiership player Dan Butler after images showed him grabbing at teammate Jade Gresham's backside during the team song after the club's narrow win over Gold Coast. The Saints said there was no context where it was acceptable behaviour from Butler and they would ensure it was not repeated. Butler apologised for his action."

They might go into flag debt.
They'd be paying it off for generations to come. |

The video of Butler's actions looked bad. "Grabbing at ... backside" is making it sound better than it probably was.
Also, there are now claims of video showing Riewoldt assaulting Short in the same way. I haven't seen video. This would confirm that there's a problem at Richmond, though I would not assume no other club has the same problem. |

Petracca and Hunt now:
Melbourne players apologise after inappropriate touching controversy
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/melbourne-embroiled-in-latest-inappropriate-touching-controversy-20200920-p55xd8.html
"Richmond, St Kilda and Carlton have dealt with similar issues earlier this season. The Tigers and Saints incidents prompted the AFL to issue a statement condemning the behaviour."
Hmm... Maybe I missed the Carlton incident. The St. Kilda one was of course an ex-Richmond player.
It's not a good look, but the Petracca-Hunt incident looks like it's different from the others, i.e. it did not involve one obviously unwilling victim being preyed upon, but was two teammates who look like they like messing with each other. |
