I've got a lot of respect for Harvey as a player. Very gutsy.
I used to see him in the Frankston shopping centre all the time but never got to say hello.
He appears to be the quiet type, the quiet achiever.
You never know, the players could well want to play for him (unlike for Bucks of late they didn't).
Given the freedom to do his own thing and what? 10 years of being a coaching assistant, he could pull a surprise.
He has a few weeks to show his wares. I sincerely wish for him to create such a great environment and prove
his senior coaching abilities that everyone wants him to continue. _________________ Think MAGPIES...winning the Flag this year! |

Never been a fan of players holding a gun to a coach’s head. I think all players should do their job of playing football to the best of their ability. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. All I want to see from him for the remainder of the season in NOT what Buckley would have done but he will do. Hopefully that includes giving final notices to Mayne , Thomas and Madgen and telling them they will see their time out in the VFL before being delisted. I want to see him play the boys in proper positions like DeGoey in the Mid field, Lynch as second ruck in the SENIORS and no such thing as a ROLE without actually getting a kick but rather get in and get te ball and move FORWARD. NO handballing backwards anymore. Attack up the middle and run and run and run. Pretty simple really. |

I doubt Harvey would have any say over list management which is another reason to try and find a replacement for next year ASAP so they can have a say, even if it’s whilst finishing up their current job. |

None of us know what type of coach he would be. It’s all piss and wind. Bucks thinks he’s terrific and a great strategist.
I can’t see him staying as part of the change post Bucks, post Walsh, post the report, post Eddie, post Ned Guy, post the fire sale of Treloar, Stephenson and Phillips then his cards are marked I would have thought. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Yes all that’s true that his future with us is bleak but let’s all get behind him and wish him success with the little time he may have
After all his good performance is our good fortune
Love a better end to our season than what we have shown till just recently
Best of luck Rob _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Guess he's happy being an assistant at a new club next year then _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

I wouldn’t have thought making significant changes to a game plan that just beat the top of the ladder team was a great career move either.
We’ve been very competitive in the last month. Surely you just keep on preaching whatever has been keeping you in those games against some very solid opposition. |

I agree
As much as I detest the name, I think the Selwood post is a good move _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I have no real idea of course, but I wouldn't think Harvs could introduce any major deviation from what the players have been used to since December last year.
The one area of change may be to simply, "play the kids". |

If it’s been decided by the football dept. and the board that a new coach with extensive experience at head coach level is the way they will approach the future then Harvey is merely there till season end
Graham Wright will have definite ideas on what Harvey is to do And yes both of them must go down the youth trail
GW will I’m sure know enough to build a list of outs both on ability and age reason,s at season end _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |
