Since I see nothing on the official site, I'd like to ask you this. |
Until they get scan results back I wouldn’t expect club to post a update
Likely they will have them this morning and will decide from there
It might be nothing just a little swelling from increased workload
In AFL 360 Last night Fly said he expects both McStay and Sidey to be available if they get through full week of training
So make of that what you will |

Will Hoskin-Elliott sustained a fracture to his hand and was subsequently subbed off during the side’s Round 17 match against the Western Bulldogs on Friday night. Hoskin-Elliott had surgery on the weekend and is expected to return in Rounds 20 and 21.
Brayden Maynard is available for selection this weekend after recovering from a shoulder setback. He was put through his paces yesterday, with tests to his shoulder involving contact and tackling. Maynard will return to full training this week.
In exciting news, Steele Sidebottom will also be available for selection this weekend. He'll take part in full training this week now that he's completed a strong running block and has passed several tests on his knee function.
Key forward Nathan Kreuger is progressing through his concussion protocol. He been doing some non-contact team training. The Club will take a conservative approach to his recovery but if he ticks all the boxes then he could be available for selection this weekend. The Club will provide an update in due course.
Brody Mihocek hasn't been able to quite tick all the boxes to be available for selection this week as he returns from a minor hamstring injury. Mihocek is expected to return to full training next week.
Young defender Charlie Dean continues his de-load period as part of his recovery from a foot injury.
323 total games experience currently on injury list ~
WHE 197 (12 seasons) avg. 16.42 games per season ~ 49.24% w/l ratio
Mihocek 117 (6 seasons) avg. 19.50 games per season ~ 61.10% w/l ratio
Kruger 9 (3 seasons) avg 16.60 games per season ~ 55.56% w/l ratio
Charlie Dean 0 (1 season)

For the middle of July, our club CURRENTLY has a ridiculously short list of injury concerns. Only the G C S have less injuries than Collingwood.
It’s a credit to our sports science and high performance team. |

This is such fantastic news.
I think Jared Wade is in his own league. He and his team have shown pinpoint accuracy in determining when players are ready to return, and to avoid the plague of soft tissue injuries that have so bitterly plagued us in the past. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Brisbane has as usual a ridiculously short injury list. They have managed to do this for 3-4 years. Their depth has never been tested in that time. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

Yes, Brisbane and Adelaide have had very few injuries for the season thus far. _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |

Yeah, Brissy's fitness guy is said to be very good. Was a big selling point for Big Joe to leave Essendon and go there.
That (injury management) was one of the main reasons for Richmond's flag success. (Dusty was the other reason.) Almost zero injuries for 2 whole seasons. With injuries (and Dusty in decline), look at Richmond now... |

Versatile swingman Billy Frampton has a quad cork sustained in the third quarter of Saturday’s game against Fremantle. It's too early to tell whether he'll be available for selection but we'll look to provide an update on Frampton closer to the Pies’ trip to Adelaide.
Darcy Cameron will be assessed ahead of the clash against Port Adelaide. He completed a solid running session on last weekend after missing Round 18. He trained early this week with the squad and he is expected to complete full training later this week and hopefully be available for selection this weekend. He'll be assessed later in the week.
Hard working key forward Brody Mihocek has shown really positive signs in his rehab process after injuring his hamstirng. He'll return to full training this week and his availability for selection will be determined depending on how he manages those sessions.
Nathan Kreuger looks set to return to action this weekend following his concussion in the VFL. He'll be available for selection this weekend.
In positive news, Will Hoskin-Elliott has given the all clear after injuring his hand against the Western Bulldogs. The Club will see how he functions throughout the week when it comes to ball handling and tackling. Given the nature of the injury, the Club will take no risks with Will and will ease him back into training before assessing whether he'll be available for selection this week or next.
Charlie Dean will be returning to training in the next week or so as he prepares for a big pre-season. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

The line forms next year with Charlie Dean about to resume light training very soon
With Frampton and Markov in addition to Moore /Bruz/Quaynor/Murphy/Howe
there wil be some competition down back
If Charlie get fitnesses right & performs well thru pre season the spaces are pretty full But that’s a good thing right _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Interesting – looks like one all clear (ironically, the one who has little chance of being selected) and four maybes. I guess we'll see how that pans out in around an hour, unless anyone's heard any updates since!
Edit: per the pre-match thread, looks like Cameron and Mihocek are available, but no mention of Frampton or Hoskin-Elliott. De Goey sick but will presumably be named. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Oppo watch:
"Carlton are likely to be forced to make a raft of changes ahead of their blockbuster against Collingwood ... after losing ... Sam Walsh, ... Jack Silvagni and ... Jesse Motlop to injury during the clash against West Coast.
The Blues were still waiting on scans on Sunday to determine the extent of the injuries to the trio, but were preparing to be without them against Collingwood.
Walsh, who has been managing his back this season following surgery, clutched at his hamstring before half-time against West Coast.
Silvagni was subbed out early with what the club initially hoped was a jarred knee, but there remained uncertainty on Sunday as to the seriousness of the injury, with a club source saying they were still waiting on results.
... Motlop also hurt his calf and was taken from the game as a precautionary measure...
It is bad luck for the Blues, who expect to have ... Patrick Cripps back after he was sidelined against the Eagles. ... Adam Cerra is also in line to return, while Jack Martin is expected to be fit after failing a fitness test ahead of Saturday’s game.
... Marc Pittonet also played in the VFL as he returns from a knee injury."

In the VFL we got some minor injuries:
-McCrae seemed to perhaps dislocate a finger. Came back on.
-Johnson got a gash on the shin. Came back on.
-McInnes went off with a thigh issue late. Did not come back on. Had it bandaged, but no ice which suggests maybe a corkie.
-Kreuger tweaked his shoulder (yes again) but stayed on. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |
