Dear Members
It hasn’t been the best of starts this year, but hopefully the Boys can turn it round soon.
Just a few things to note in this newsletter:
Buses
Collingwood vs. Richmond (MCG) Sunday, May 15
At this stage, we are hoping to run a bus for the Richmond game; depending on numbers, and availability of a driver. Please book with Nanette by Friday, May 6. The bus will leave Busport at 11am.
Just to point out: Vline is now charging around $17 for train fares for Adults. It’s cheaper to go on the Geelong Magpies bus!
Collingwood vs. Brisbane (Gabba) Saturday, July 9
We are having a get together at Betty’s place to watch the match on the big screen. Further details will be announced in the next newsletter.
Raffles
Donations of prizes for the raffles on the bus would be greatly appreciated, as the raffles help raise money for the Geelong Magpies.
Help needed!
If anyone knows of someone who can drive the bus on match days, please let Nanette know. We are struggling to find a driver. This is why we haven’t been able to run a bus for the last couple of day games, as it is costly to pay for drivers.
The next meeting will be held at the Elephant & Castle Hotel on Tuesday, June 28, commencing at 7pm. All are welcome. _________________ "With hope in our hearts, and wings on our heels" |

Traci, what size bus gets used? Can it be driven with a 'normal' license, or are we talking a big 50-odd seater? _________________ Whale

Hi Dale,
Usually we take 22 seaters and bigger so a special licence is required. At the moment the club is struggling to find money to pay for the driver so ideally if we could find a driver who can drive a 22 seater bus or bigger that would be fantastic. _________________ We are one,we are Collingwood ... |

If an A class licence is all that was needed, I would have offered, but although I can drive bigger vehicles, I'm not licensed to do so. _________________ Whale
