Post subject: Fox Footy - Second Channel Launching | |
|
I don't know if anyone else had wrote this, but Foxtel are lauching a second Fox Footy Channel during March. This is according to the Sunday Herald Sun.
Fox have said the the idea of the Channel is so that every team has an allocated replay slot every week. So, for example, Collingwood's replay of the previous match would be on at the same tim each week.
Furthermore, Fox has done a deal with the ABC so that VFL, SANFL and WAFL games are also broadcasted on the channel.
The channel comes free for Fox Footy subscribers.

There was an ad running on Foxtel last night that said much the same thing.
Too much footy is not enough, unless they are going to use it to replay that bloody Ron Barrassi tribute thing that's been on high rotation of the last few weeks.
Sounds like a good thing though. I'm looking forward to perhaps seeing Willy play a little more often (he said, not trusting Foxtel to keep it for free for ever......)

Yer, I heard about this during a match the other night. Good stuff I think. Never can get enough footy. Will be good to see VFL games and other stuff they'll be showing. Looking forward to it.

Yea.....I also saw Fox Footy Extra advertised on Foxtel. I am just wondering about the 'your state' thing and what it means? In regards to whether we as Victoria (aside from getting replays of all the Vic clubs games at decent time slots) just get the VFL or whether we also get the SANFL & WAFL matches or are they allocated to just the WA & SA viewers? That part confuses me!
Whatever it means, it sounds good to me especially with the chance to see a lot more of Williamstown.

Exactly Magpira, Living in Sydney, I hope I don't just get Sydney Swans' games. Could not handle that.
I hope to get Collingwood, VFL, Sanfl and Wafl games as well.
I worry I will not get these things, as they advertise it as getting your state's footy.
