This week would be a good opportunity to try Bryan with Wood and rest Josh for the Cats game - heaven knows we'll need him that week. |

Personally I'd prefer Thoolen debut, more to gain from giving him experience and Bryan has done nothing to suggest he can perform at the top level. Roc is back so we don't need a forward. |

LOL. Josh fell into Griffin. There was no malice. The 'savage, brutal bump' was purely accidental. _________________ "MAKE COLLINGWOOD GRATE AGAIN" |

if he says he is right play him. Last year in the prelim final he declared himself unfit and ruled himself out of the biggest match of the year. Therefore if he says he is fit i trust it....i still reckon he shouldve played the prelim even if half fit. I want to see Josh can play with some niggles _________________ There's more to life than footy.........just not much more. |

I kind of agree with you DaVe, but not at the risk of further damage. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

This one's for the knockers
http://news.theage.com.au/fraser-a-chance-to-play-against-saints/20080512-2dc7.html
Quote: | Collingwood ruckman Josh Fraser says he is glad he took his chance to play for Victoria, despite injuring his knee during Saturday night's AFL Hall of Fame tribute match.
The big Magpie still rates himself some chance to play against St Kilda at Telstra Dome on Friday night, after learning the posterior cruciate ligament strain was not as bad as initially feared.
He said the injury had not caused him to question the worth of playing in the representative match.
"I've said to a few boys already it would be a shame if they went through their careers and didn't get a chance to pull on the big V, so I've got no regrets at all," Fraser said.
"It's an injury that could've happened at training, it could've happened anywhere. It was a great thrill to be able to play for Victoria and I've got no regrets whatsoever." |
says it all for me. Well done Josh, you did us proud _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Post subject: What we need from Josh Fraser | |
|
We need Fraser to stay injury-free (this preseason), it seems every preseason i hear he has somehow been injured and hasnt been able to do the full requirements. I dont think we have seen the best of Fraser (because of all the injury issues) and all we can ask for is Josh to get over all his knocks, get his body in perfect shape for March 09' and then we'll see what happens.
It's not to much to ask is it? _________________ Daicos, this is when he's at his best, the MAAASSSTTTTTEEERRR!!! |

I just hope we don't hear Josh on the TV after about round 3 telling everything how the Pies had already been through a tiring campaign, training in Africa, playing in Dubai etc. If it was that greulling maybe they should not go.
Would be interesting to see where Geelong, Hawthorn, Bulldogs and StKilda spent their pre-seasons? |

How about needing him to grow 6 more cm's into the correct size for a ruckman.....? _________________ Beware the swooping Magpie. |
