if you're going to ban someone (a fortnight after they apparently broke the rules), maybe email them and tell them the reason. or at least tell them that they have been banned.

would've pm'd but i think it'd be good for the public of the forum to discuss this and see what they think.

thanks.

It's kind of hard to discuss when I have no idea what you're talking about. Razz

do you think members should be advised via email when and why they are banned? especially ones that have been here for 5 years?

Sounds unfair to me, but then the person seems to know what they had done to work out that it happened a fortnight ago.

Surely, the poster would have already received two warnings, along with two yellow cards, which would indicate they are pushing the boundaries.

If said poster is too stupid to understand what two yellow cards means, then they don't deserve to be told why they are banned.

If, after 5 years, said poster doesn't know when to back off, then he/she needs to read the rules again.

Well, you didn't say this thread was about you! You've only been here for four and a half years.

You must have really pissed someone off if you got a two week holiday with only one yellow card.

The mod's team disagrees with your recollection of the timings, but yes, we agree with the principle.
