this could be very interesting
we will field a team with Macheda, Wellbeck, Gibson etc. Its going to be very weak. Hull can def win this game or at least take a point. _________________ Daniel Price

If Howard Webb and his cheesy lookin bald head was standing in front of me right now, I reckon i'd be facing 25 to life.
Ligit goal, dodgy red card..........
And also could have still won if Fulham had a lesser keeper, Schwarzer made 2 excellent saves - one from Martins when he turned his defender inside out, the other a superman save from Butt after a long ball headed down by Carroll.
And Martins hitting the post too.
Another day it might have been a 3-0 win...... _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

FFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKK
Not exactly a performance of a team fighting for their lives.
The awasy fans showed more heart than some of the players. _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

For people like you Dan, i do feel for you. The feeling of fear i had for most of the season is something i dont want to have to put up with every season.
To the rest of the Geordie mob, take a look at yourselves and realise that you're also to blame for the team going down. Constantly calling for the heads of managers and chairmans just because you have lean patches. Big Sam would be laughing his socks off currently, he kept Blackburn up with far less than what he had at Newcastle. _________________ I love Danny Allsopp, Danny Allsopp loves me! |

I am disappointed as thats 6 easy points gone for Liverpool.
The blame has to lay with the players. Owen, Viduka, Martins amongst others are grossly overpaid compared to their outfit. They should feel embarrassed and a player like Owen should actually give money back to the club.
The thing that would really suck is that these players will leave and join another club and life will go on as normal. Whereas the supporters are the ones who cannot escape. They are stuck in the Championship. _________________ The Torres bounce is officially dead. You are walking alone now Fernando. |

Bye bye Leeds Mark II. I guess that's the end of the Goal film series.
Hope you can bounce back, but it's hard when income is cut by 100 million pounds.
Seriously though, a club like Newcastle should never be relegated. |

Shearer holds talks with Magpies
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/8068068.stm
Quote: | Alan Shearer has met with Newcastle owner Mike Ashley to discuss becoming their manager on a permanent basis. |
I hope he does stay. and the reported 4 year deal on offer is just what is needed at the Toon, a bit of stability. From what he has been saying since Sunday, he has the right idea about the playing list and will make the required changes.
Now that I'm over the initial shock, I am actually looking forward to seeing how our total cleanout goes, we have needed it for a long time and maybe the relegation has just forced the issue. This could end up being a blessing in disguise.
Hopefully we will bounce back up next year, but even if we don;t I'll be happy as long as we don't fall further and we have management and players that are going in the right direction. |

Do you prefer books or TV? That remark was either too complex or too simple for me. We were talking about Shearer holds talks with Magpies
httpnews. I lost my train of thought. Does "it" still refer to stm

I hope you're right there Punk. It is going to be shithouse only getting one live game every 8-9 weeks though. (if we're lucky)
There are a couple of young Geordie boys who we would do well to keep in S.Taylor and Carroll, Nolan signed a long term contract in January that hopefully doesn't have a get-out clause, Harper has stayed loyal this long why would he go now, Smith might be looking for some stability to resurrect his career, Viduka likewise. Thats the neucleus of a very good team at the CCC level. The rest either won't play in Championship, or can piss off anyways. _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

should be able to get some first team football into nile ranger and lua lua too.
owen and martins will surely leave and barton wont have a choice.
I think smith should go as he is too expensive and has done nothing.
Get rid of cacapa, geremi. Not sure about guthrie, would like to keep him as his crosses were better than anyone else's at Newcastle.
R taylor might stay, he hasn't had too much of a chance..
from interviews, sounds like duff and beye are keen to stay.
Would love to keep bassong but doubt he'll stay, he'll get big $$ offers, same for enrique.
jonas might stay. |
