Yeah, it wasn't a shock, but jayzuz, the guy put in every week without getting a call up. Coulda been different, and PS: Is it smart to be delisting guys when the VFL side is about to play finals???

Disappointing. Thought Yags was starting to show some consistent performances in the VFL, often playing as a psuedo KPP because we were light on for alternatives. Reality of limited lists, pressure comes back onto the players to make it, particularly for the more generic 175-190 utility types.

like you said, this year he was asked to extend himself by playing as a kpp tall. i thought he did reasonably well and was hopeful he would get another year. really needed to excel this year to have a chance of extending his career with us.

is a real character and enjoyed a few laughs with him this year.

Why would you need to? 35forever has the best football brain on this forum and knows more about football than all of us, he has said so himself.

Nick Pie Man and I shared a table at a Collingwood function night with Yags, his dad and his grandmother. Very nice people. Sad to see him go but he obviously was not up to AFL standard.

AFL = Field Of Broken Dreams.
